Default Central Florida grass bash-interested?

Just taking a general feel of who would join...

I was thinking about how I would like to run my RC more frequently and came up with this idea.. There is a large grass field in Blanchard park that I thinking about laying down rope to make a track in a section and have an open bashing area too.

I choose this area because for those of us with kids there is a play area very close. In addition for those of us with significant others there is also a karma yoga ( kids and adults) class close too. Cost for yoga is free but donations are appreciated.

So... That means you can have s family "time" and still enjoy our hobby.

At first it may be just open bashing but if enough people come maybe we can lay down a rope track and drag race strip etc.

Anyway I just wanted to see what the general feel for the idea.

Picture of area:

Ooopppsss forgot to give details...

Meeting day: Sunday

Time: start 9:00am

RC types: any off road

Motors: it's outside but not sure of noise ordinance for non- electrics

Tires: anything you want to run in a grass field

Power: I have not seen an outlet/plug but there may be one near by at the bathrooms

Any other questions just ask and I'll try to find out if there is an interest.

the park would never go for that we were asked not to run the scale truck in the grass fields so i doubt they will want cars that can tear up some grass

Hi mud, I have been there the past few weekend with my family and the park people have just stayed there and watch.

I was running my apache with paddles ( which is a Beast) and the only thing said and asked was how fast is that thing if you can't even keep the wheels down.

But I will ask them the next time I go to make certain it's okay.

Here is the deal friend one or two guys is OK but when you try and host an organized event or have more then a few guys the park people start asking question like do have a permit or permission and why are you taring up the grass and old people are complaining and any thing else they can complain about....

All the power in the world and hope it works but most of the city and county park's are hard to do shit at with out permission.

That's true that's why(before I go crazy seeing if this works) I'm checking on interest. I also checking with Downey park.

Some friends up north were able to get some land in a local park set aside just for RC but a "group" had to be in charge of the maintenance of the track.

I think a community track to have fun with any type of RC would be great!
