I have the white and blue Bronco on the photo at the very start on the video. No video of the Bronco yet, can't film and drive at same time.. Must of us use an lowered Axial crawler with paddelwheels and 5700-7500kv motor. Mamba esc and 11.1v lippo. Gearbox must have stronger gear but some of us use Traxxas VXL gearbox.. Try it, its ALOT of fun... |

Great vid!! The slow mo really makes the video. It was great watching the rigs launch over the top too. Very nice work. |

Hell yeah!! - now I know what my next build will be - awesome vids. I once put paddles on an old Kyosho Nitro Rampage buggy and took it to the sand. I burned through spur gears, belt gears, final diff gears like no other - soooo much traction. I can totally see a sand buggy with extended rear links in my future. Very Nice! SG |

Ooookay!! You asked for it!! Here's one more.. Or, just check out my Youtubechannel.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb8Zo2tL7Us Check also http://www.norcc.com/vb/index.php It's our Crawl/scale and now Formula forum here in Norway.. Think is so fun doing so you guys should just go ahead and build some cars.. And maybe you americans can learn us vikings about this Brushles motor/esc/volt thing.. ? Motor are getting really hot so after a few minutes of driving the motor needs to cool down. Cooling fan are on the way in but is this enough ? Is 5700-7500Kv and 11.1 Volt just too much ? Will it bee better to go down on Kv and up on Volt ? And now my Highspeed cam are full of sand and not working so it may take some time for the next movie... |

This is just sick.. Will be looking into building one of these. Need to find a good platform to start out with.. I think a VXl system would work perfect but then again a MMP and HV5.5 would really kick on 3s.. Great vids |

You've made a really nice video! The use of slow motion makes it a lot more enjoyable. Based on my short experience with Formula Offroad there is little you can do to cool things down. Burning ESC's and smoking motors are part of the game . A cooling fan will be vulnerable to sand getting into the fan and jamming it. Perhaps a heat sink, if there's a way to fit it in, would be a more reliable choice. I've tried Castle´s 4600kv and 5700kv motors and prefer the lower rpm one for more control and easier driving. Going down in rpm will probably help a little with the heat issue. There's a bunch of crazy Finns who have been driving Formula offroad for several years now, both 1/10 and 1/8 scale. There was even a World Championship here in Finland during the past weekend. I believe they have pretty much tried all possible motor and voltage combinations. You'll find them on www.rc-foff.net I'm sure they would be glad to share their experience. There should be an international section as well for writing in English. I found one of their videos of the bigger 1/8 scale trucks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr8FfeYu800 Tomi | |

I bet you cant sail your cars like they do with the 1:1 ones on iceland A e-maxx with paddlewheels sure dont cut it and we never got around to juicing it up more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ6oPYct5gY you want to FF to 5:00 if you wanna see our Danish wanna be formula offroad attempt. Sand and gravel we have in spades in my stamp-sized contry. |
