| 3 For the Hills Wraith
Loaded Wraith axles. Now a LCG platform to work with would be nice.

Must resist , wait for BWD chassis. Let's see, weekend, to hot outside, everything in stock to build with, boredom setting in. Maybe do a little R&D ...

So anyway, thought I would tear apart a Wraith I had laying around and try a mockup. To get a LCG put some bent links on BWD 4 link mounts, lower batt tray and make sideways for more stability, had some short Axial shocks and will be able to install on lower mounting points on the frame. Saving pretty axles above for another build. (Classified BWD bulid) |

36/14 gears F&R. 32p 44/19 spur/pin, RR tranny gears. 3s. Probably will have motor temp trouble with all the tall gearing. Although tires will have smaller radius. Looks like maybe have to loose front bumper and mounts. Still keep hood frame. Give a little, take a little. And yes, the infamous Velineon. Last edited by Hunter711; 06-25-2012 at 08:14 PM. |

| Re: 3 For the Hills You know, that I know, that you know what the story is with the frame and stuff to get everything lowered and still get good articulation. Just took a break actually from doin' a little chopping and reinforcing frame work. Pushed out front bumper and inserted some cross bracing. Removed rear batt tray supports and installed cross member @ F&R shock mounts. So far I'm kinda excited. This project started out just to kill some time while waiting on goodies for next build. But it's starting to pull me in and I'm getting that "Wantin' to finish the build and make it right" feeling. Considering mounting 2 batt trays perpendicular on side frame and running 2x2s for 4s. This might turn into a premium build. Whut woe $$$ . Last edited by Hunter711; 06-26-2012 at 02:09 PM. |

Here's your updates: Ya ever build a rig and she keep's asking for more? And everything seems to fit perfect? First "Bashin' & Trashin Rig" I've done in a while. Mounted 2x2s on side frames. 550 CC motor. Have plenty 2s hardcase batts from last season SC racing, so can use them. Most mods were with stuff I had in stock. Made rear plate to mount Q-Base and Rx. Man, it just seem like this thing was asking to be modified and everything went right into place. |
