Default Gear ratios.

Ok so I have an scx10 that I have been playing around with. I got some paddles for it before I found this section and now I am hooked. I live in holland mi right by the lake so I have lots of sand to play in. My question is what gears is everyone running. I have a 17.5 brushless, 4100 smc 2s lipo, and I have a 25 on the motor and a 78 on the trans. The truck is just slow. What can I do to make it faster.

Well looks like it's time for a new speed control and a 3s pack or two then.

Seriously, go up to 3S and then gear it back down to get your torque. When it comes to a FOFF rig, you don't have to worry about wheel spin, you actually want it, so power up right off the bat and see how it runs. Depending on where you will be running, and what terrain, then you can gear it down. Climbing hills you don't necessarily need all that speed, but the power you will love.

Totally agree, cant wait to see it man. I may be going to the beach this summer, may we should hookup and go FOFFing. I am still waiting on my Wraith to get here, as everyone else that pre-ordered.

Ok so I have been looking at 3s packs and I am not sure what size to by. What is everyone running. Also I have and original gtb novak speed control. I'm not sure if it will handle 3s so what is a good speed control that will.

I believee it wont handle 3s.
You would be better off getting a new esc anyways.

Yea I looked it up, it will not do 3s. So I need to find out which one I am going to get into. But I am going to get the wraiths first before I do a bunch to the scx10.
