From what I've seen of the B5's...it's no small feet to do a 4x4 conversion. Unless you've got it planed out, and can fab up a lot of the parts yourself I'd say scratch that and just have fun with it.

You need to start over at HPI Baja Forum. its been done, it wasn't cheap. HPI do paddles, as do a number of aftermarket suppliers. Search 'sandbusters' or start here at HPI |

I agree on the Savage 1/5 conversion. The time and money to make your baja 4x4 is about the same. A 4x4 gas baja is a dream of mine. But so is a mamba xl baja on 8s.

I love my 2 stroker! I have it in the 5sc ss. But soon Ill find a 5b roller and get the Mamba XL! Im hoping someone does the Savage 5t conversion. A 1/5th scale 4x4 monster foff would be undeniably sick!

show me a baja do a rolling 40mph backflip and keep rolling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UX5gRaa5rQc How about a 17' forward flip? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2an1hwJNmQ I have trouble running this thing full throttle. I put the wheelie bar on it recently but haven't tested it. You wont see more than 5 seconds full throttle in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGApTtCBTrY Bajas are slow, loud, and can't be run in most public places like beaches. With the new castle brushless conversion I can't believe theres still stubborn people holding onto gas. Last edited by daign; 07-31-2011 at 06:12 PM. |
