| Why crawling ROCKS (literally)
Hey hows it going to anyone that stops by , had a littlte 2.2 comp at my friend Nitrojeffs house and really wanted to show everyone interested how fun and somewhat easy lol crawling is . I have raced many many many different R/C realated vehicles and for some of them to even impress me half as much as my 2.2 comp axial & 2.2 scale axial have in a 14' x 10' area i basically need a track and a fifty foot run up and I also wanted to really show off my friends sick and twisted ability to make obstacles that are endless because once you think you've mastered all the lines you just turn the panel over or raise the elevation and it is completely different. the best part is one guy can set up and tear down the panels for storage out doors if need be they're water proof. Thanks Jeff (Nitrojeff) he's in the picture for size refernce and that is his sick sick sick put it up against any custom crawler Wheely KING Last edited by 666; 05-12-2008 at 11:40 PM. |

looks like hardware mess and either fiberglass or mortor over the top with gravel/sand etc in it. Great thinking

Super freakin' fun! The panels are floor underlayment mesh bent over basketball size rocks then covered with fiberglass. Construction adhesive glues lava rock, limestone, and pea gravel to the mesh. Some of the fiberglass is painted and left smooth, most is covered in several coats of contact cement with sand pressed into it while wet. There are two pieces now that fit together and were made to climb up onto a picnic table and be reversible. Each panel weights about 30 lb. and are about 3'x 7' Have fun! I will!!! |

Very nice. There are a lot of use out there that are brainstorming the construction of something similar. I like your's. It's cleaver and looks like it could be transported reasonably. If you make another pleas post pics of the building process, that could help some of us more hands on type learners.

That's a great set-up. How many panels did you make, how large of an area do you get to crawl?
