Default gear ratio help

ok guys a little math problem here for you.

if i know my emaxx tranny ratio for 1st is 28.9:1, and my older stanpede tranny was 4.8: 1.

i like the speed i had and torque when i was using my pede tranny with a 13t pinion on it. now ive built another truck but with a emaxx tranny in it. how do i plug the numbers in to find the same ratio in my emaxx tranny as i did with my pede tranny with a 13 t pinion on it.

thanks alot

tranny 1st gear= 2.76
2nd gear = 1.72

diff = 2.84

to figure it all out you take your spur and pinion and divide that... then take that # and multiply by the tranny ratio... then take that # and multiply it by the diff... then if your running a 3.8 reduction unit, multiply it all again by 3.8....

ex.

72/9 = 8

8 x 2.76( 1st gear tranny) = 22.08

22.08 x 2.84(diff) = 62.7:1 final ratio

but if your running lets say a 3.8 unit, you take 62.70 x 3.8 =238.2:1 crawl ratio

but you need to know the ratio of your diffs ( whatever diff your using) the #'s i gave are for a maxx

hope this helps

that is the gearing for the trans only... the 29:1 you mentioned is the final ratio for a Maxx in 1st gear.

The new two speed emaxx offer a wide ratio.

I took me about an hour but i finnaly figure the internal ratio of the new 16.4 E-Maxx tranny with two speed option.

1rst wide ratio = 5.07/1
1rst close ratio = 2.96/1
2nd = 1.83/1
