The H2 is NOT a real Hummer. They just put a fugly body on a Yukon and slapped the Hummer name on it. Proline has these: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZH38&P=7 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZH39&P=7 Or you could always use a toy body and mount it on a TLT like I did: |

H1 is for people who want a really rugged vehicle. H2 is more for people that want a Hummer they can drive around everyday, something a little more classy. H3 is for people that like the Hummer, but not the size and gas-guzzling. It is great for people who want to do some basic offroading but not pay outrageous prices for.

well the hummer, although based off of other gm vehicles, is a beefed up version. they take parts and make them stronger. for example the new h3 has an available adventure package that gives you such things as 33 inch tires and a rear locker. you dont see the colorado coming with that.

What? The real Hummer is made by AM General which I think GM has some thing to do with.... It's more military specs but with yuppy bells and whistles like a heater and a radio IFS/IRS with portals at the hubs. I think the diffs are actually Dana 35's too from what I remember from a guy in our club that used to wheel one.... Quote:

And to think... You could go out and buy a FJ80 Cruiser(early '90s for not informed) and can have a rig that will allow you to run 35's with "minor" trimming and you get FACTORY(a.k.a. STOCK) front and rear e-lockers. You can even get a full floating rear if you know what to look for.

Toyo, the h3 is not based on a 3/4 ton pickup. It is based off of gm's colorado platform, it is a bit smaller. But your right I would take a LC over a hummer any day. Also GM owns AMGeneral.

H2 are for people who would like to pretend to be rugged (urban wheelers and cant afford a real hummer) H3 are for the people who would like to pretend to be rugged but cant even afford a H2 (even more urban wheelers) GO BUY A YUKON OR A COLORADO AND QUIT PRETENDING TO BE SOMTHING YOUR NOT Last edited by Sr.Irie; 07-23-2005 at 09:55 PM.

I'd rather buy an H1 if I had the money. I prefer the looks of the H3 over the H2, so I'd probably get that and not complain about wishing I had the money to buy a Hummer... GM owns the Hummer brand now. AM General is no longer. Thus, the H2 and H3 are legit Hummers, just not the same as the H1. No need to get into a pissing match. The H2 and H3 are not meant to have the exact features as the H1. Different price points...but still Hummers. |

rbgerrish has 2 Mogs and a Halflinger.... Just so you know, Frieghtliner deals with Unimogs. There is a fairly large Frieghtliner plant in Portland and Mogs can be had....if money is spent properly. I have a few brochures from Frieghtliner on the Mogs sitting here What this thread comes down to is that GM autos suck. Go buy a Toyota
