| super flex!
i wanna start off by sayin thanx to hman1991 for his "flex for free" thread!! it took me about 7 days to figure out the flippin the blue center crossmember over trick for the rear(just do it & you will see) anyways i did kinda the same deal on mine!! 1. took pen & cut to desired length http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl1.jpg 2.took a sharpie pen & made a spacer sleever over pen http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl2.jpg 3.slide in so the center pen sticks out just past the tube on the axle 4. put wire through entire assembly & twist with pliers until it is snug but still pivots http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl3.jpg 5.on front i moved shocks to rear side of shock mount & reassembled 6.for the rear i flipped the center & did mostly the same 7.took peice of plumbers tape(metal with holes in it) with 5 holes & slid over pen http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl5.jpg http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl6.jpg between axle tube & sharpie sleeve. 8.sum beers for thought proccess in between some steps!! http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl4.jpg http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl7.jpg http://www.northcoastcliffhangers.com/rcl8.jpg Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 08-28-2005 at 03:41 PM. |

your welcome. i really like the idea with the rear springs. i also mounted my front springs on the rear of the mounts on the axils after i extended the front. i might have to do ur idea on the rear springs.

it wheels great/no axle wrap//only problem so far is the bolts on the bottem of the shocks cant be tight or it will bind & aloow no flex.. i have left them loos but after some intense wheelin they fell out!! i need to find longer bolts & double nut them.. or drill a small piece of plastic as backing plate & use stock screws.. i am going to figure something for the front next because my back has about twice the amount of flex as front!! i want to be able to have one end flat on the wall with the other end flat on the ground!!!my dream anyway!! |

ok/ditched rear shocks & wired up like hman did/ditched front shocks & ran wire through slots where arms go up & down under frame & tightened so front does not swing up//body kinda flops but it wheels good(havent tried since did front) heres some vids in action vids!! |

I flipped both of the blue arms upside down (both front and rear). Without shocks the axels would hang to low and always hang up, but by flipping both the front and rear upside down it holds the axels much higher for better clearence. Kinda confusing.... would post some pics but i cant get it to work.

i flipped the front but the axle dug in because of the steering hanging too low/
