Default R2 with disconect tranny question

What gear ratio are you guys running with this tranny? I put one in with a 55turn and it is way slow. I think it came with a 8 tooth.jam used to the stock axial tranny. I would like a little more wheel speed and still maintian good torque. Thanks for the help guys

I run a Novak Goat so my info is no good but your probably going to be between 8 and 10 so your 8 tooth should be a good starting point. I run a 16 tooth on the Goat but that won't work for you.

With a 55t. I would run a 12 or 13 tooth pinion. Seems to work pretty good. If your running it in comps, you may want to run a 35 or 45 turn motor for more wheelspeed.

I'll try and pickup a 35 & 45 and start testing them out. I have a comp on the 24th of Jan. If I go 35t what pinion would you say, the 12 or 13? Also jam running a sidewinder with 6cell split if that maters any. Thanks Dustin

12 or 13 will still be good. Just depends on what kind of wheelspeed you are looking for.

No body asked you!

The 3S lipo makes the biggest difference.
