| Will 4mm Fit?
Do all Revo ends work well with 4mm threads? I have a ton of the small ones(#1942) and am wondering if using 4mm would be too big? I'm going to order some 4mm studs and some derlin rod... just wondering if I can get away with using the smaller ends. |

unfortunately the smaller ones (1942) are for 3mm screws.

I would like to know if they do work, how do they hold up compared to Team Associated MGT Rod ends.

Well, given that the 4mm hardware is 4mm in diameter @ the threads and the small rod ends you are trying to use only have an outer dimension of 5mm...I would say you'd be cutting it reeaallly close. You'd barely have enough material left. If ya lived closer to me than Payson, I'd give you a pack of Revo's I have at least 6-8 packs of them here. |

5347 are Revo toe link and pushrod ends...which are again larger than the 1942's he stated he was wondering about. 5348's are the same rod end as the 5347 but have a larger body around the ball and are used on the rear toe links only....which are again larger than the 1942's You are correct that all those you mentioned are good to go with 4mm..with the exception of the 5469's which are more for 3mm..but the question was if the 1942's would work.....and my answers above still stand. My point was that ALL the rod ends on the REVO are the same outside diameter and therefore could be drilled to 4mm with no problem. With the exception of the dinky TRA5349 rod end that connects the servo to the steering arm(which nobody would use for link rodends.) ... BTW, The TRA1942 is not even a Revo part number....its for older traxxas stuff | |
