question on the rules set for tube chassis hi i want to know what every one things about one of the rules on building a tub chassis for comp? in the usrcca official r/c rock crawling comp rules it states 2.1.3.4 - 2.2 class minimum overall bodiless dimensions must be 8” overall length, 3” overall width, & 3.75” overall height. what i want to know is how picky will the judges be on the width of the chassis at the bottem? i am basing my tube chassis width on the bottom off of the stock berg Battery/Radio Tray which is 50mmX52mm and my width is going to be 2/1/2 inches wide will this be ok or must i stick to that width? to add i live in canada and we are starting up a crawling club and using those rule so how set in stone are they in the state on that rule? i know we can change them but want to make this chassis legal for the states to thanks |
All you have to do is...when doing the tube work is make sure that the "cab" area part of it is at least 3" wide and you should be good. |
so what you are saying is any where on the chassis width it has to be 3 inches? my tube mock up has the mide way point at 4 inches wide. so then i am more then good to go |
As long as your chassis is at least 3" wide at any point...mainly middle cab area...you'll be fine |
