Default Crawling the vine... 56K Warning!

Hey, we had a pretty good outing... :P 4 people, but hey, it's texas!
It was fun! I never realized how big these cars were until I saw em in person. They out ran my tlt, but my tlt wasn't in its territory lol... pics: Oh yeah, I will have a video of the cars crawling tommorow. It doesn't really give you a good size of the rocks. The rocks were big and jagged and all....

My favorite pic of the day:

My 2nd favorite pic of the day

And of course my car... rubber bands holding the stadium truck body on

I got lime wire.

The vid may be a couple days. I couldn't convert it to a mpeg... The computer needs more ram. The video was big. It was 11 minutes long it was a good 11 minutes.

Hey pics look great!!!

We had a great time! Wish you could have stayed longer. We were there until about 230 only got a few more runs after ya left.

Had a blast!

Is this all the pics you took?

I like to set up a photo album every meet. Photobucket.com is free and you can upload tons of pics to it. Then you can just post a link to the album.

Yeah thats all the pics... I thought my dad took more, but I was wrong.
Nice pics btw texroks just realized it, but did you go somewhere else after I left?? I don't reconize the rocks in the pics you took except the first 3 pics or so.

I wanted to stay longer, but I had to go play some poker. I am glad I did!! I won $70!! Therefore, I am getting clod axles, and making a tube chassis.

You guys are the greatest!!! You made my dad really like crawling. I told him that I wanted to make a tube chassis for my tlt, and showed him some pics of tubers. He then went out to get some gas. It took him a while, and he ended up going to home depot and got some 1/8 and 3/16th rod! This really suprised me. He never really showed much interest to my crawler until he saw yours. :P

I am going to send out the raw footage of the crawling tommorow to you guys. tell me if your dial up since it is 10 minutes long and is lots of MBs.

Well how does any clod fair compared to a well set up shaftie? BADLY!!!!

LOL!!! Just kidding! It's hard to say how the rigs faired compared to each other b/c I was having too much fun and focusing on my driving to notice. I think Torquer's red jeep still needs some wheelbase b/c it's just too short at about 13 1/2" wb. I'm sure he'll have it longer by next time...he said he's got the links made just gotta extend his canti's

Certain things I crawled with ease and certain times the clods zipped right past me.

Starting to realize that driving skills play a bigger factor than I realized also. This time I actually tried to pick my lines and did alot better than before. Also, control is what it's all about. This time i had the gd-600 finally and it helped TREMENDOUSLY! Slowing it down to about 180:1 I had alot better ability to drive through/over rocks more skillfully w/o rolling it. Before most of the time i had to 'punch it' and hope I make it.

Next time I'd like to make things more competitive and set up a comp and use rules and points and all that. This time we set up a course but just sorta played follow the leader.

My video is done, but I'm having trouble making it a mpeg file.

nice video! My dad wants to make his own tube chassis crawler now I am hoping to get some clod axles or something. I also want to make a tube chassis for my tlt that way I can actually compete against you guys.
