I noticed everyone posting pics of there rigs on 2.2s, how is everyone mounting them? I pulled mine apart and fiugre you can just glue (or bolt) the hub to a 2.2. Just wonderin how yall do it.

thats how I did mine but I used sheetmetal screws. You probably dont need the glue, its doing nothing for me. I definitely wouldnt just glue it.

In case you are interested, I just listed a brand new set of 2.2 Moabs and chrome Traxxas Rustler wheels that have been drilled for use with the Nylint wheels. Check the classifieds.

I bought a set of universal HPI mesh wheels (they include hubs that fit all diff makes of trucks) and i took a 1/4" allen wrench and heated it up and used it to melt the biggest hub adapter they came with and melted into it so the 1/4" drive hexes fit inside them. Then used washers on the outside of the rims so the srew/nut wouldn't go through the wheel. I also narrowed the inside of the wheels so they didn't scrub while turning. |
