I have one, but I wouldn't call it a crawler, but it definately has potential. I'm gonna go monster truck with mine though, I already have a TLT crawler. Out of the box they are kind of a compromise, so to make it a great basher/racer or great crawler you have to make some mods. For a crawler it really needs more reduction, taller tires, a stretch and locked diffs, and a servo relocation.

Default Pti

I have one in pieces in a box. I still need to put it together (probably next week) There is alot of info on one18th.com. People are already stretching them and putting maxx shocks on them. I have all of my stretch stuff for that and also using lathe motors.

You can get them through tower hobbies or one 18th.

if you want one, go through tower. i had one on preorder from one18th since january and after being told i was #11 in line when they got thier first batch of 10 kits in, then waiting and waiting and getting no updates on when pti was going to be able to box-up and ship the second batch and then seeing tower get a second batch of trucks i finally got fed up and just cancelled the darn thing.

i've been waiting for this truck for years since i first saw the kit-bashed setup that pti based the goliath from on rc411.com. the truck seems like it has alot of potential, but the way pti is handling it all i just wouldnt put alot of faith that its going to be a well supported product.

and lets not forget you can get a tlt for about half the price of a pti mmt....

That's true, but IMO you get more for your money with the PTI. Out of the box my bone stock PTI crawls almost as well as my heavily modded TLT, (stretched to 1/10.) It wouldn't take much to have it crawling circles around my TLT, whereas I have too look at more stretched and a custom made tranny and chassis to make my TLT a decent crawler. I definately, by a long shot have more money into my TLT and will be spending more, whereas the PTI wouldn't take much more money from stock to get it comparable to where I'm going with my TLT. I'm just choosing to keep my PTI as a 1/18 monster truck though because I already have the TLT crawler and it's not good for anything else.

I do understand your concerns about PTI being able to handle the production issues, but given time I think they'll work through them, I hope anyways. They are considering producing axle only kits, that would be very cool.
