GC2 cobalt 7t

Any one put a cobalt motor in the gc2? will it fit?

bigflex 06-09-2009 08:16 AM

I might be wrong but if memory serves me right it won't fit.

Thanks. on the holmes hobby web site its says its 2.5 inches long. Is that the motor or the shaft? What a measurement so i can figure it out?

Lonewolf 06-09-2009 09:12 AM

2.5 endbell to endbell

bigflex 06-09-2009 09:16 AM

That is the motor length not including the shaft."thumbsup"

Anyone have a gc2 and know if it will fit or not? I think it will be really close

jeepcj578 06-09-2009 05:56 PM

it will with some very careful grinding on the chassis and back end bell.

It will fit, but like jeepcj578 said, take your time and only remove the smallest amount.

By the way, that was a 7T puller and it would get much too hot on 3S so I sold the motor. Great power, wheel speed and low speed resolution though for the short time it was in there.
