| Ball links, rod ends, what ever you want to call them...
I'm building a 4-link on my clod crawler project. I bought the heavy duty 6-32 ball link from tower hobbies. I thought that it would be good, but it wont. Im trying to find ball links which will allow a 6-32 rod to go into the threaded part on the link. So which links do I need to buy? and from where. I looked all around and cant find what I need.

Yup, nothing makes things fit quite like a good drill!

Ok, the other forum isnt linked to rc crawlers anymore. sorry about that. Now about the ball links, I thought about drilling them but figured that it would take out too much of the material and make it weak. Am I wrong? |

How strong they'll be afterwards really depends on hom much material there was in the first place. Personally, I've drilled many different ball ends to 6/32, and have only ever had one fail. Now I just keep a few extra "pre-drilled" ones on had in case this ever happens again. I say go for it. |

I can thread a 3mm into a traxxas t-maxx rod end. I think that's close to 6-32.
