best alum. ax10 shocks for droop I'm using the stock shocks right now and cannot get them to stop leaking! I want to know whats the best aluminum shock to replace them with? I need the same length as the stocks and I know i can build the stocks with aluminum bodies but for $25 for 2 bodies then needing aluminum caps is a rip. Post up what you think."thumbsup" |
Can you run the Losi 4" crawler shocks in a droop setup? |
traxxas big bores are pretty close to the stock lengths the losi shocks are shorter, but a great choice i run drooped losis on my slingshot and they work good and give me more flex than the revos |
i personaly think 130mm is far too much for any shock. droop or standard. i would go to the losi 4" (100mm) i also like the traxxas BB |
Iv'e never ran a droop setup but I can tell you the Losi shocks are very nice. |
I like the Duratrax Evader shocks, they have no shock caps & are fairly cheap. The ones I use are from the 1st gen evader, the evader ext shocks are plastic bodies I believe. They will be a bit shorter than the axials, use the rear evader shocks. here is a link. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAMK2&P=7 They also come in purple, and blue anodized, & hard anodized finish. The hard anodized are more $$, they also have Ti nitride shock shafts for them. IMO prob 1 of the best things duratrax makes- |
well here is another dilemma. I like the Big bores but they don't have balls on each end. And i like the Losi's but they're threaded and i think they'll look dumb in a droop... Whats the best tips to prevent shocks from leaking also cause i cant figure this *hit out...:? |
All my buddy's Losi shocks leak a little my droop setup uses Axial replacment alum. bodies w/alum. caps also and they don't leak. |
