| Funny I never thought to do this
It's funny of the 1000's of rigs I've looked at I never thought to do this. Skin the body with tin from coke cans. (I'm from the south everything's a coke.) I like it and I bet the body damage from crawling would be sweet. Not to mention the brass in the wheels. |

I've been wanting to try one with the heavier "aluminum bottle" stock-- I cut some up for some boat stuff- looks nice & thicker too. I plan on using it for under the sides on a scaler.

that would be cool to mount with small rivets on a lexan body as well (with non painted side out)...give it a "patched up" look...would look good on a SCT.

That's pretty cool. I may try some Monster Energy cans on my tuber. Have you seen any of the work by MetalMasher? He takes it to an insane level; he builds entire truck bodies, replicating every panel in aluminum and building them like a real truck! I've seen his used models and brand new builds in person and they are amazing!! Here's a current build he's working on.... Project true scale - Aluminum Toyota body! This is one of his coolest builds; this guy isn't a crawler, but an artist... Leo's Willy! |
