Default Anyone else breaking beadlock rings?

I've had my Jeep for almost a month now and broke one beadlock ring completely off on my first rock outing, and now I just noticed that I have a second ring that has cracked half way around.

Anyone else breaking these?

I have some miles on mine but haven't had this problem. Maybe this is why they stock them at Wally World at $20 for a set of four?

take your wheel to Low's and Look for a washer that fits just inside the beadlock. Make sure it's a tight fit. CA glue it in there. Then paint the washer what ever color to match your beadlocks. That should make it stronger and Lower your COG a little. Plus it would add that custom beadlock look aswell.

Rock Rash.

18lbs + plastic rings + rocks = Broken rings.
Both of mine peeled off like a can opener went at it.

The same thing happened to Norwegian Legion.

I had mine about a week and noticed that both rear rims beadlock rings were cracked almost all the way around. I got to looking at the front ones and they were starting to crack too.

The worse part of it, was that I've had it outside once, for about 5 minutes. The rest of the time I have just been driving it around in the house.

Update:

I've broken the second off and have two others cracked half way around. At least it is only cosmetic and the tires aren't falling off.

i had my wheels apart last night and was checking them for cracks and what-not, and if the rings come off, there is ntohing left to hold the tires on...... :?

i still don't get how you get the whole weight of the vehicle smashing down on one ring, and in the rocks is better to aviod hitting them because the next step would be getting the rock in the center and because of the lip on the rim, stopping it from moving. i've got some rock rash but no signs of cracking or breaking.
