Angry hi lift tranny problems

alright, ive successfully ran 5 packs or so through my hi-lift trannied scale truck and 1st gear doesnt stay engaged anymore. i took it apart and all seems well, so i put it back together thinking that it was my shift linkage that was messing up. i fixed that and it fixed the problem for about 5 minutes or so but now its back again. it appears that its getting fuly engaged at the linkage, but then it doesnt act like it. it works fine in 2nd and 3rd. i may be heading up to a comp next weekend so id like to get this problem figured out before i leave. any help is appreciated

You drive like you stole it... you need to learn to drive it like an old lady.

Be sure to bring it tomorrow.

Maybe the servo isn't holding it in place. Like the servo is too weak. Or maybe the servo horn is skipping a tooth.

nah, i figured it out, it didnt have anything to do with the shifting mechanisim, the pinion gear on the motor came loose and was skipping along the flat on the shaft
