First I would make sure your battery is fully charged, and the 9V is good also. Then try all 4 different channels and see if it lets you control it. Might be something interfering with the channel you are on. I know if you run two of these on the same channel in close proximity, something like you just described will happen.

battery is full charge...i tryed the different channels. i didnt check the 9v in the remote but it does go forward and reverse.

Put the front end up on a block, turn on the jeep and your controller, and then turn the little knob on the controller labeled "steering trim". What happens?

nothing...doesnt even make a noise like its trying..i took it apart and that little switch for left and right wire colors (red, black, white?) if i turn that the steering works only one way if i turn it the other way it does nothing...is there anyway i could get rid of this and wire in a servo or something

You can't really put hobby servos on these things, the electronics aren't compatible.

well that kinda sucks...anyone else got ideas on how to fix this thing

hey guys i was just looking through the 1:18 some guy is swaping the elc. could i do the same and use the remote and recever from my 10th in one of these??

SlammedMini469 01-22-2006 11:24 AM

yes, if you were to install a hobby grade ESC, reciever, remote, and servo, you could....

i am not sure how well the motors would respond to the lower voltage (not very well i would assume) so you would need to look for an ESC and possibly a servo that will run on 12 volts

ahh this is a pain....i guess ill just buy a new one and use this one for parts or something...or maybe ill see if someone on here has parts they wanna sell

FroggF350 01-22-2006 05:47 PM

take it back to walmart they will exchange it no problem. If you have modified the body just buy a new rig and change bodies out and then take the old chassis with the new body back to exchange it they will give you your money back. I have done this twice already.

Frogg, did you not see the sticker that says DO NOT RETURN TO STORE?

Nylint has excellent customer service

PRBJeepin 01-22-2006 09:22 PM

yea um i thought about this...first i tummy tucked it. 2 theres no walmart around here that sells the 1:6 scale i got mine in pa and left the box there. i would much rather just fix it
