Default Anybody Have Any Idea's For Shock To Link Mounts??

Ok, I ordered some lower shock link mounts from RC4WD coming up on two weeks ago and according to the site they are still processing, haven't even been shipped out. The website says allow 2-3 buisness days for "processing" in our office. I called and got a hold of Mike and he said they're running behind because they short on staff. He was out of the office and told me to email him with my name and order # and he'd check on the status and get back with me. I never heard from him and that was 2-3 days ago. My debit card still hasn't been charged either.

Sooooo, I wanted to know if there's anyway to make something simular what they sell, or something that I could get at a parts store that would accomplish the same thing. I don't have access to ANY machining equipment so I can't "make" my own.

I'm tired of waiting. My rig is just sitting and lower shock link mounts are really the only thing keeping it from being RTR now...

TIA, Jon

Get some plastic (or metal) cable clamps at your local Lowes, HD, etc... Auto stores might have some as well.

Yep...used to use them on my Clod. Got the nylon ones one size too small. That way when I tightened them up, they wouldn't slide up and down the links. I always got 'em from Lowes.

I used them and they just slid all over the links.

Use some 1/4" collars on each side of the clamps and they won't move

1/4" is the smallest Lowe's carries here. I got some 1/8" and 3/16" from McMaster Carr. Del-City is another good place, $25 minimum order though.

I bought some real aluminum link mounts off of a vendor here for about $23. They shipped quickly and were very pleasant..........................but for the life of me, I can't figure out who they were :?

Click on my link in sig and go to the 3rd page to see more pics of the shock mounts.

They are in the electrical dept. at Lowes and they are called cable clamps. They'll be over where the switches/outlet boxes are. $1.50 for a pack of 10.
