| No longer steers right
OK, In December I bought my 1:6 and still enjoy it. (Still looking for a 1:6 Scorpion.) After a few weeks of just running inside the house, my steering started coming and going when turning to the right. I contacted Steve and he said they'd provide me with new parts or whatever and it would be around 3 weeks. Its now Feb, and m steering lets out a high pitch wine when turning to the right now... and it absolutely refuses to turn right under pressure. Any ideas? If i had my new one or parts Id just swap things lol... |

there is a drive belt frome the steering motor to a gear reduction box it tends to glaze over and no longer grip and they may tend to stretch out

If you pop the axle cover off, and on the bottom of the steering casing, you should be able to get small pin hole access to the steering belt, hit with a couple of quick sprays of belt dressing and your good to go. The other way is to pull the pin out that holds the pitman arm on, and then you can pull the entire motor out and clean it up and assemble it. |
