I have that system in my Jammin SCRT10, but with a 9t motor. It is a great system for the money. My only concern with using it in a crawler is that the motors are sensorless, so it cogs a big at low speed. Not a problem when racing, but could be with a crawler. I think a sensored system would be better for a crawler.

the racing systems and esc's are good but their crawler motor sucks. its has poor torque and it cogs a bit u would be better of with an outrunner and their esc

I use the esc in my crawler with a big ol outrunner on 3s, its super smooth and no cogging at all.

no experience crawler wise, but i have hobby wings setup for my mini t . things a friggin rocket. fastest truck i got. been running it for a quite a while with zero issues. as for running brushless in crawler. i wouldnt be concerned about the hobbywing esc.just make sure it has the crawler mode. ive been searching a bit on the brushless route myself. ideally a brushless sensored outrunner would be the way to go, but a sensorless outrunner works. low kv ones are pretty cheap and easy to find. what i have mostly found is if you have cogging. gear down and volt up. i plan on doing this for an moa in the future. dual esc, dual outrunners.

i have the xerun 60a 10.5 turn sensored which is a little more expensive then ezrun but it crawls amazingly being sensored. it also has loads of torque and plenty of wheelspeed to get get speeds upwards of 20-25 out of a stock scx10 |

Question: Can that EZ-RUN 35A ESC be safely operated without the fan? That little fan can be loud, no? |
