There is absolutly no reason what so ever to not use them if they are the same thread pattern and size. Lighter weight and much stronger than anything standard. May I ask where you found them?

I have run them and they usually suck. They strip out and bend. And unless your running 100 screws it just not worth the weight savings vs. a nice strong steel screw.

As mentioned, the cheap ones suck. I use some of the Lunsford Ti Screws and they are quite nice. I think I've only stripped one...

I prefer carbon steel hardware. Ti is about half the weight but I don't have much hardware anywhere I feel it's an issue.

I run all aluminum hardware on my berg and it has held up extremely well to some serious bashing. |

I run RC4wd Ti screws in my Berg. I have never broken one driving, I did twist off a head when I had the in with Red Loctite. (Use Blue and you will be fine) I saved an ounce (1.04%) on my 2.2 by doing most screws. I think its worth it and will be ordering all the XR10 Ti screws that I can find. |

I'm having a 2mm screw fail me repeatedly[mrc].Going to 2.5 or 3mm isnt an option in the location of the failure. Who makes 2mm hardware that is superior to the stock mrc hardware. THANKS |

eric I'm breaking the screw for the diff pinion.Thats why a larger 2.5 or 3mm isnt possible. Also I'm wondering about SHEAR strenght,I'm shearing this screw,I would prefer a screw that will bend instead.Or one that has a high enough strength its not an issue. If it shears I lose the output shaft.Right now I'm shearing the stock losi 2mm screws and I'm needing something better. Lunsford and Mugen offer the highest quality titanium screws. Most of the ones out there are junk. Surprisingly, you can use aluminum screws in many places. Each aluminum screw is about 1/3 the weight of a steel one. I used them in my LCC on anything over the axles, to lose sprung weight. Also have used them in nitro racing. Never had a one bend or break. Here is the link to the aluminum screws. http://www.fastener-express.com/ Here is a link on how to measure screw length, for those that don't know. http://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-in...re-Length.aspx |
