Default RC4WD shock mounts

(I have the 1/4" ones)
Im having problems sliding the shock mounts on to the link. WHy is that? how do I get them on?

DO I have to somehow stretch them out and then slide them on? Am I going to have to drill the whole a little bigger?

They really wont fit and Im not sure as to what I should do.
I figured I should ask before I mess them up.
Thanks
Conrad

Try prising the two lugs apart a little bit first and then see if the'll slide onto the rod.
You could also try dressing the hole as the edge may be restricting it.

What diameter rod you using, it's not too big is it?

And for anyone thinking of using them on 6mm rod as it states in the advert....don't as they slide all over the place. I had to pack mine out with metal tape and am stuck with one position on the link now.

If you haven't already tried the suggestion, measure the bore of the mount and see if it is actually 1/4". Is it possible they got mixed up with a smaller size.

If it measures 1/4", try the above, if that don't work check the O/D of your tube/bar.
Manufacturing tolerances may mean the stock you have is a bit on the large side.
