Default 1/10 esc?

could I run both motors off of a 1/10 esc like an xrs? obviously not the stock battery as well.

I just moved so I haven't had time to really work out my fried circuit board, and would rather just go hobby grade then buy a circuit board from someone on ebay or spend $50 on a new truck (if I can find one that low!)

this will still be my sons truck and we have lots of places to drive since we are in a new build neighborhood.

Yep, that's what all of the clod guys do. I would suggest a moped esc, they're only like $35 and they have a good bec. Check the electronics section, there's a thread with all of the info you could want. But you'll have to go hg all of the way, radio, servos, etc. The XRS only has a bec of 1 amp, so that's not very good, you want at least 3 amps at 5 or 6 volts.
