Default Should I cut these tabs off?

Where te ARMS mount to the "Frame" there are black tabs under the arms. It seems like they would limit droop or flex. SHoudl they be cut off?

no, don't cut them off, they will just make the shocks pull apart easier.

no you dont need to cut those tabs just cut the ones on the rear axle that are under the blue flat arm where the axle pivits to get more flex.

you look under the blue arm on the rear axle, and you will see a little tab

There inside, on the axle portion, where the axle "piviot" meets the blue thing. They are little black stoppers next to the black pivioit

if i was to guess i would say...... BAM

that tab right thar. but don't cut the ones under the blue arms. the flex is cool but the shocks pulling apart gets old FAST.

Ya i saw them when i first got mine and said these have to go. First trip out the shocks pulled apart every few seconds, took it home and put some limiting straps on it,all better.

Cool

yes, i think so, you can cut the tabs off without new shocks, just put limiting sraps along the length of the shocks so that it stops droop just before they pull apart, it's a lot cheaper than new shocks and surprisingly easy.

Even if you have savage shocks you should not cut them. I cut them and am running savage shocks, now the rear axle slides under the body when trying to get over a tough obstacle. I bought some "L" brackets and am going to try to mount them where the tabs were.

Limiting straps work, but i really don't like the look of them, it makes it look cheaply done...just my opinion

Savage shocks is one of the best Mod's you can do. do the belly up, cut the tabs, cut rear axle and run Savage Shocks. The 4 easiest mods to do.
