| 4X4 Wild Willy 2
Let me know what you guys think. Please be nice. I have a Tamiya Wild Willy 2 that is just collecting dust. I was thinking on making into a rockcrawler. I would use the stock rear grearbox and buy another one (This box can take a lot of abuse) and lock both of them up. I would then make a custom HPI Savage type frame to tie them together. I would like to use the stock body. Steering would either be 2 wheel or 4 wheel, depending on how complicated it gets. Give some suggestions and thoughts. Thanks JOHN :P |

As far as I know, the WW2 uses the same gearbox as the Wild Dagger. I have a dagger and it's geared way too high for crawling. I had a set of TTR gear reductions, but they only alow down to 16T pinions (stock is 18T or 20T). It was still geared too high... Maybe if you ran 5 cells and stock motors... One great thing about the dagger is it's very light weight. |

I think it will be hard due to the short wheelbase.. That doesn't mean it can't be done.. using the stock gearbox and then turning a wild willy into a 4x4, well... I haven't seen it, it would be an interesting build. If you are really interested in turning a Wild Willy into 4x4 there are also plenty of other options..

That would be cool ,but thats a short wheel base to do it in , should be a cool build if you do it
