| WHAT YA THINK ? new shoes
heres my latest creation. i actually started this awhile back but never fishished all 4.i havent tried them out yet. tires arent even glued on. tlt rims with nylint rim epoxied inside of it.the tlt rim is also narrowed. not bad flex ?? |

i like it i did the same thing to mine but no other mods yet ive been working on my 1:6th to much but i have a few ideas keep up the good work

i did it a while ago but i went back to stock for a scale look but on your rig they look good...but width is a lil wide |

Aren't nylint tires the same height as a stock tlt tire? What really are you gaining with those, stock tlt tirees aren't that sticky. Just my 59 cents though

thanks guys for all the responses. with them narrowed they do give a bit more ground clearence. they are maybe a tad softer but they have a larger foot print so maybe that will give a bit more traction. geolanders would work,but i had these...no money spent..almost like all the mods done to this. yea it is a tad wide but oh well. heres two pics showing the difference in clearence. 1st shot is the tlt tires. 2nd shot is the stock tires. not a huge difference but on a 1/18 scale rig every bit counts.... did some more testing with these tires. it was wet today and i havent finished the cutting but they did ok.im still not uper impressed. i can say they go better in the dirt and mud.

i did the same mod to my first 1:18th i love the looks of them over the stockers but i still want some 2.2 moabs or something else on my other one

ok i finished up cutting the front tires and it made a HUGE difference.rears arent cut yet. i madeit up a rock that i couldnt get up at al the other day. i will take pics of the new tire cut if anyone is interested. |
