Berg Mod 0.6 pinions (Check last post)

PLEASE SEE MY THE LAST POST

I contacted TCS Crawlers about the Berg Mod. 0.6 pinions, Enroute 11T Berg Gear 0.6M #EBG101 - The Crawlers Store LLC , but can't get a straight answer. Can anyone tell me if they are made of steel, aluminum, are plastic?

Forgot to ask..... 1/8" shaft size right?

Thanks in advance.

Per the enRoute website they are STEEL and yes they're for the 1/8" shaft. You could also go with the Robinson Racing gears...the 11t would be part number RRP1111 "thumbsup"

Re: Berg Mod 0.6 pinions

I'm fairly certain they don't...and if they did...you paid twice as much for a single pinion as you should have.

Eric D_Lux and all who have responded.....

Man I am sorry. I screwed the pouch on this one. I was thinking metric 48 pitch and looked at standard 48 pitch instead.

Also just found out that even though the 0.6 mod is sometimes referred as the metric 48 pitch. The mod 0.6 is actually a 43.2 pitch and is not compatible with the metric 48 pitch gears.

Again folks I am sorry to have wasted your time.

Flame away guys. I deserve it.

GOAT:oops:

After you guys are finished chewing my ass. Could someone recommend a motor T rating (say 35t-45t-55t) to go along with an 11t mod 0.6 pinion. I want good wheel speed and torque for my RS10 axles. (All steel gears, aluminum spur plate, and hardened pins) I will mostly be trail bashing but with a lot of good crawling thrown in.

No worries man...

As far as a motor for your rig...I really don't know anything about the RS10. The best thing to do would be to take a few minutes to browse a few of the builds in the RS10 section and see what people are using and get their reviews on them.

The Robinson part number is no longer good.
I called them a couple months ago and they are no longer making the custom pinions.
I need a set of 11t 0.6 mod pinions for my AL Fighters. You can only use 11t because of how the motor mounts work, etc. No others will fit.
I called Robinson and a bunch of other places. No one has them.
I was told there are a couple mini-cars that use the 0.6mod/metric 48 pitch gears, and you can have the pinions bored out to 1/8" to fit the 540 sized motors.

I'll be on the lookout. If I find some, I'll post it up.
Doesn't look good though.

My LHS has the NOVAK 11T/12T/13T 0.6 MOD set. So i get lucky...this time. However they are aluminum....not so lucky after all.

That's crazy...I just saw this part listed on several sites "IN STOCK" several days ago when this thread cranked up.

Re: Berg Mod 0.6 pinions

Maybe there was so much demand they are cutting them again, but when I called Robinson directly, they said they were no longer making the metric 48 pitch 11t pinion.
Sounds like I need to do some more detective work. Too bad about the Novak sets KC5H, if they were steel that would be perfect.
Aluminum would work, but you would have to replace them regularly, along with the grease....
