Help with future build

Hey all,

I'm trying to get some parts together for a build I will be starting next month. The Chassis I am using is a Chaotic Crawler's Smash chassis with Ti links for XR10 axles with VP links.

I'm trying to select shocks. I'm looking at Traxxas Big Bore (via DLUX website) . I'm looking at the 4" with lathed body and cap mod with mini t-spring set.

Is this a good shock set up? Should I go with a different size shock? (a bit shorter?) Is the lathed body worth it? What about the cap mod?

Thanks again for any help.

Go to the xr section and look and see what other guys are running with their smash chassis.

Ok for shocks you have a couple options:
the big bores your looking at but get the 3.5" with cap mod and lathe
scx10 shocks either stock/icon/eggressor http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/gener...10-shocks.html
kyosho velvets in 3.5" with cap mod

Any of those will do the job. I run the stock scx10 shocks with the traxxas bladders and O-rings, limited internally and externally> I find them to be great for me!

I run the 3.5 big bores with mini t springs with cap mod on my xr10 and love them...but as stated above , there is alot of info in the brand specific xr10 section..Good luck on your choices.
