| help for shocks
Hello to all, I would like to buy shock absorbers for a rock crawler that are long: -all compressed from 85 to 90mm (3.35-3.55 inches) -all extended from 125 to 135mm (4.92-5.32 inches). I would like them with external springs or with working piggyback and external spring, which ones are best on the market? I have no budget limits .... thanks to all those who can help me ... |

Axial Yeti rear is all I can think of that is close to your length/stroke desires. If you can make 6" extended to 4" compressed, Hpi Savage XL.

I'm not sure how long E-Maxx shocks are, but they might work Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

That's a quality non-piggyback choice. If you have to do piggyback shocks (most don't work appreciably better than standard) then Proline and GMade XD shocks would be your best options, IMHO. GMade has a 93mm, 103mm and a 113mm version of the piggyback XD: Gmade XD Piggyback Shock 113mm (2) Pro-line makes a non-piggyback PowerStroke XT Shock in the 5" Yeti Rear size: Pro-Line PowerStroke XT Shocks 5" Yeti Rear and Pro-Line Ultra Reservoir Shocks (105mm): https://www.prolineracing.com/perfor...ocks-105mm.asp | |

thanks for the advice Durok, but unfortunately many of those you listed I had already seen them and turn out to be too short for my use... at the moment I found these that could do for me: https://www.prolineracing.com/perfor...-xt-shocks.asp Type II Alloy Shock (2) for Axial AX10 Scorpion (L=126mm) for R/C or RC - Team Integy Rebound Adj Piggyback Shock (2) for Axial 1/10 & Off-Road Scale Crawler(L=124mm) for R/C or RC - Team Integy Piggyback MSR11 Rock Crawler Shock Set (2) 128mm for R/C or RC - Team Integy https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-King-O...OD_p_5339.html what are the best? As already said would only be used for rock crawling, must have a good progression in hard passes, I do not care that they have a good grip on the fast ... |

I personally would not use any Integy products on my vehicles except for some of their scale accessories - which just sit there looking pretty anyway!

thanks a lot for the answers... I realized that the Proline are the best... instead of the RC4WD's shock absorbers that I linked what you think? Let me explain better, can you try to explain me the main differences in dynamic behavior between the 2? because I noticed that for the RC4WD's is also available a kit with springs of different hardness, which I think makes them more adjustable, but this does not exist for the Proline's... I would like to use them in half droop, with 12-14mm in compression and the rest in extension ...
