| axial locker spinning in plastic housing ?
im just curious if anybody here has ever heard of a stock axial sintered locker spinning inside of the stock axial diff carrier when in a hard bind. this hasnt happened to me ever but a discussion elsewhere claims this has happened. so anybody have any input on this

Yeah. You either sheared the pins off the locker or stripped the plastic. Posts all over the place about that.

I have one rig that I have been using with stock lockers and they haven't failed yet, and this is on 3S powered brushless motors. The trick is to fill the void spaces between the case and the diff carrier with JB Weld or JB Kwik.

| Re: axial locker spinning in plastic housing ? JB weld in the voids is the only way to solve the pins shearing on factory locker, but you're still left with a pretty sloppy locker and it will only continue to get more slop as time goes on.

I have had it happen twice, 1st was my scale rig years ago and recently in my Yeti. Seen it happen more than once to others rigs......

It is typically the first failure on my rigs. Either locker or tranny output, even before plastic tranny gears most times.

Not sure what axial model you're speaking of, but I've beat the crap out of my AX10 for almost 8 years and I'm still on the stock axles with out an issues in the diff's.
