This is an 1/8 scale motor I run on an axial trans. It is big enough that it cannot be adjusted on a standard type axial motor plate but it does fit. I have 4mm spacers under the trans to raise it up since the motor hangs down so far. I was running 13/62 gearing and it was unimpressive on 4s. I recently found that 19/54 meshed perfectly and holy fawking hell what a difference! It can crawl as well as you'd expect a brushless sustem to do and get down making the tires into pizza cutters whenever you want.

durok again more good info thanks
scale looks is not high on the list haha. my friends should put performance and durability
on the top of the list or they will not be friends for long. haha
I looked at kyosho but now I have a few more to look at. there are also conversions for the losi5s and hpi 1/5
to brushless.

I have to say he surprised me yesterday when he mentioned looking at the 1/5 redcat new crawler hahahaha
didn't read far enough to see the "crawler" or notice the video where the driver was barely moving as he followed the rig
or watching it spin tires on a wet rock on a slight incline. he is now looking at the chimera brushless (redcat again -
how disappointing - though it looks pretty tuff, wonder what it is a copy of haha) for about 680 on ebay.

associated and mugen are familiar to me, tlr I have heard mentioned in reference to big brushless motors.
ill do some looking

thanks again for the names

whiteT

ill get a picture in a bit but the motor I have is 75mm long by 35mm diameter with 5mm shaft
I have a 120a esc for it. I had it set up to run either on 3s or 6s.

there was a video of someone running a test with the motor on a sled with a propeller pulling on a cord with a
heavy weight dangling from the edge of the table (over a pulley but still a heavy weight).
cannot find any numbers on it.

I'm a bit leery of using it on anything I have. I have a stock axial tranny and a vattera trany which comes with metal gears
but I am pretty sure I would at least tear up the plastic driveshafts and strip out the stock bevel gears in the axles. haha
I need a sugar momma.

That motor pictured is 42x68mm so yours won't be such an issue to fit.

brushless 75mm can, hh 35t 540 can, traxxas 550 can
all are 36mm

the last pic is with the heatsink and fan. I'm sure there are better ($)
motors out there haha

gotta work on my depth of field.

did you grind some on that motor to make it fit as well as the 4mm spacer under the tranny?
