Default Jb Weld Solution

I had to clean the bevel gears inside the diff. that was glued using JB. I soaked them in gasoline over night and the stuff came right off without any hastle.

None, and I think maybe it wasn't hardend fully. I put them together, closed covers, and in the following morning, I soaked them in gasoline, the morning after, the stuff just came off by rubbing my hands on them.

This is kind of offtopic, but jb weld related. If you use jb weldon a link or something that wont melt you can stick the item in the oven and bake the jb weld. The jb weld dries in about 5mins and its at full stregnth.

Does speeding up the cure time effect the overall strength?

My take on JB weld is that you can also boil it to remove after it has failed. I read it on here or Scale4X4

That JB quick weld is alot softer than the 24hr. stuff and breaks down faster. Is that what you used?

Nope, i am pretty confident that it is at full stregnth. I did it to my drive shafts and they have held up perfectly.
