Just read about this today. When (if) this comes to market, it would be a nice platform to model. Obviously very similar to a Defender but different.

I've been checking in on this project lightly for a few years now, and find it rather fascinating.

Yeah - the Ineos... what Land Rover should have built as New Defender in the first place. Much easier to service in remote ares. I am surprised this passed today's safety regulations as that was one of Land Rover's reasons to build a new Defender. Or, they don't want to sell the Grenadier overseas... and then, who is gonna service this in the US, China, Autralia - that's going to be interesting. And as far as I know, they didn't reveal the motor yet, did they?
Easy to take a proven product and make it even better. JLR apparently didn't protect the design of the Defender, hence the similarities.

It’s all in that article that’s linked. 25,000 produced annually to be sold globally and featuring an inline 6 gas or diesel Mercedes engine. But AWD with a a hi/lo shifter.

Sounds like my Lexus GX460. It has full time awd with a torsen center diff, but i can run it in 4hi or 4lo with the transfer case locked or unlocked. It extremely usefully for maneuvering trailers around my yard. Throw it in 4lo unlocked and i get the lower gearing without the binding.

Yep. Something similar. I have a gx470 like that. I think this offering will be bare bones as for electronics. Like my old Tacoma. All the ECU is good for is the fuel injection.
