| Need ideas on Comp Build
Starting to gather parts for a build. This is going to be a comp build/trail truck ... Likely going to be going with a 13-in wheelbase... This will be a full group suspension, low lcg build... Would like some suggestions Mostly trying to decide on motor and esc ( leaning towards the Holmes hobbies 1800kv snubby)... I would like to run 4s but I'm open to 3s So far the build looks like this Chassis: UGRC Dirty South Tranny: Amazon Dig Tranny (got it for free) axles: Redcat Gen 8 portals TXRX: Radiolink RC6GS Servo: Alturn USA ABDS-996HTG+HV Last edited by ericfx1984; 03-20-2022 at 02:10 PM. |

| Re: Need ideas on Comp Build I have not decided on shocks yet.. part of me wants to use those cheap $24 a set Amazon / eBay shocks but I've read they don't hold oil very well so I'll likely end up spending a few more dollars and getting desert lizards any better suggestions I'm planning to run spring free/without springs

Traxxas big bore 2660 I believe is the sub 90mm, only sold in pairs around $25 a pair, bit more then the lizards, lizards I think would be good for your build and the new castle micro x2 is 4s capable now, I'd still run a bec unless using a direct powered servo Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

If the weight is something you can deal with it is a good option. The Micro X2 says up to 2.25lbs but maybe be good for crawlers. I think it is new. After the experience I had with the Copperheads and Castle Customer service I am not sure if I would buy anything new from them. Last edited by MOguy; 03-21-2022 at 07:52 AM. | |
