Default Need ideas on Comp Build

Starting to gather parts for a build. This is going to be a comp build/trail truck ... Likely going to be going with a 13-in wheelbase... This will be a full group suspension, low lcg build... Would like some suggestions

Mostly trying to decide on motor and esc ( leaning towards the Holmes hobbies 1800kv snubby)... I would like to run 4s but I'm open to 3s

So far the build looks like this

Chassis: UGRC Dirty South
Tranny: Amazon Dig Tranny (got it for free)

axles: Redcat Gen 8 portals

TXRX: Radiolink RC6GS

Servo: Alturn USA ABDS-996HTG+HV

I have not decided on shocks yet.. part of me wants to use those cheap $24 a set Amazon / eBay shocks but I've read they don't hold oil very well so I'll likely end up spending a few more dollars and getting desert lizards any better suggestions I'm planning to run spring free/without springs

Traxxas big bore 2660 I believe is the sub 90mm, only sold in pairs around $25 a pair, bit more then the lizards, lizards I think would be good for your build and the new castle micro x2 is 4s capable now, I'd still run a bec unless using a direct powered servo

So I read about the "crawler edition". Is this just in the programming?

"This SPECIAL EDITION of the Mamba Micro X includes motor solder posts with 16 AWG wire and 4mm female bullets for the motor connection"

Desert Lizards sound right up your alley. There's also the Injora or Gmade versions if you wanted to stray away from the norm.

So both of them can be programmed the same there's no real reason to spend the extra money on the crawler edition right?

The SW4 is a LITTLE lighter than the Copperhead but only 3s and not much of an internal BEC. I would go direct power for my servos so for me the BEC wouldn't be an issue. I had two Copperheads, neither worked right. They only ran for about 10 minutes and would stall. The MambaX is probably a 1.5 ounces heavier than the SW4. The MambaX can go up to 6s, has Aux brake and a decent internal BEC. It is advertised up to 8 amps I think and 8 volts.
If the weight is something you can deal with it is a good option.

The Micro X2 says up to 2.25lbs but maybe be good for crawlers. I think it is new. After the experience I had with the Copperheads and Castle Customer service I am not sure if I would buy anything new from them.
