Default TWS CJ7 just disappeared

I just watched this week's Scale News Update and Josh mentioned that the TWS CJ7 was the next Jeep body to suddenly disappear from the market, presumably because Chrysler went after them.

I had been courting the idea of getting one to add to my General Lee & Hazzard County Sheriff RC collection, and was disappointed to see that this got nuked.

Fortunately, Asia Tees still had them in stock, so I was able to grab one. Their shipping costs are insane, but the kit price was cheaper from them than I recall it having been directly from TWS, so I think it wasn't too terrible overall.

$330 for a more or less no name Tamiya-sized crawler kit isn't exactly a bargain in the grand scheme of things, but with that body disappearing rapidly, I figured it was my only chance.

Anybody, if anybody else was dying for a 1:10 scale CJ7, Asia Tees still has them:

BTW, Asiatees still has these in stock, and one big benefit to their ridiculously expensive shipping is that it's FedEx 2 day, so I ordered this on Tuesday and received the RC today (Thursday).

It still boggles my mind that they don't offer a cheaper China Post or Speedpak option for $10 or $15 instead of $65 FedEx shipping.

I wonder how hard it would be to stretch this into a CJ8 Scrambler?

Piecing multiple lexan shells together to make something longer is tough to do, but since those are just slab sides, it might not be too bad.
