Default My PTI Goliath Ver 8.0

I've had this thing for a couple years and can't stop messing with it. I think it's finally where I want it.

This might be the last time I modify this thing. The only other thing I want is the new tranny that PTI is supposed to be making because it will lower my cg more.

Current WB 12 3/8"

This version is stretched using:

Lower links=Revo toe links
Rear upper links=Revo pushrods
Front upper links=T-Maxx toe links
Drive shafts=T-Maxx.
Tranny=GD600 with a 87t spur and 19t and 15t pinions. GD600 was modded by the one and only Jason in Augusta.
Wheels=OFNA Monster Pirate wheels, double narrowed with the rock rings I won at the last raffle. They are a perfect match. I love the look.
Tires=Proline Masher 2Ks
Spools=AE TC3
Cantilevers=Revo
Shocks=T-Maxx
Servo and link mounts, motor brace, lexan radio tray, and skid plates=custom hacked by me.

11.5" wide. Was 10.5. Trying out these wheels.

Axles holding well. I've never had any trouble with the ring and pinion (knock on wood). Oddly, I have snapped a dogbone though.

So your suspension cycles pretty well, eh? It seemed to me when I had my links mounted in the stock locations, the suspension would bind a bit. I might have to try it like that again just to see.

Kinda funny how everyone (PTI owners, anyway) was on the hunt for those elusive disco'd Pirate wheels and now everyone thinks they're too wide They look good with those rings though. They look kinda like Walker Evans wheels.

Probably the best looking Goliath build I've seen yet - nice work...

Actuily I'm still looking for some of those wheels.

Try here:

http://www.nitrohouse.com/parts,_pirate_10.htm

Scroll all the way to the bottom. The ones on Skeeno's rig are Part #89156

So I think Part #89155 on that page is the same rim; just in gray instead of chrome.

Just curious why you left the shocks laid down with the cants?
I have both versions of the PTI just need to figure out how I want to do it.
Nice build.

The cants have always worked well for me. I've never really had a reason to change them.

Tested it a couple day ago. I was able to complete all three courses of our last comp. I'm very pleased with it. There was a spot or two on each course that was really hard or impossible for me to pass. This time my PTI didn't have much trouble. That's what I was shooting for.

Hey man, nice Rig!

I've just found everything in Towerhobbies except

Quote:
Front upper links=T-Maxx toe links
Can you tell me which part i have to order?

Which lengths must the links have?

Quote:
Cantilevers=Revo
- There are 4 Types to get. Which one is it and what do i need additional to complete 'em?

What does
Quote:
Spools=AE TC3
mean? Sorry i'm a newbie, so i must ask maybe silly questions!

Best regards, greets from germany,

XbX Dennis
