| This is really pi$$ing me off...................
I have a set of these Topcad aluminum wheels and have so far been unsuccessful in getting the damn tires to stay on it. I have roughened up the bead area on the wheels. What are you guys using? Last edited by Scattman; 05-24-2008 at 04:40 PM. |

Are you getting all the black paint off? You might need to get down to the bare metal. Sometimes when I have problems like that I glue one side on all 4 wheels. Then let them sit for a while and then do the other side. I never glued 1.9's though ... |

I dremeled a good little section all the way around the beads down to the bare aluminum. CA and hot glue both just peeled right off the wheel, especially when they hit the water.

Try wiping the bead of the tire and wheels with rubbing alcohol or some nitro blast.
