| Cave crawling
Finally I got time to make an underground crawling expedition I've planned a long time ago. At the end I went alone with my wife because it was difficult to find a day to get together with my crawl buddies I hope the pics encourage them to join me next time, video will be post soon in the video section. |

I liked the idea till I saw just how small a cave you were in... not for me. However, the idea, and some larger areas would be sweet. |

Here you have more info about the little adventure, the cave is located in the Pirenee mountains, It's one of the largest caves in our country with 3.173 meter explored galleries, allthough I didn't went untill the end this time, pushing the car and bags across the small corridors was exhausting, next time I'll make a sledge to put everything on it and pull it instead of push it. There are some larger areas that I want to go, in fact I just stopped to make the video in the second place where I could be stand up. Here you have some pics of the trail, outskirts and some more inside. To start the day there is a nice two miles forest walk, well it whould be nicer withouth the 45 pounds bag on my back:LoL: Then the trail becomes a little more difficult once you start climbing the mountain, there are some ropes to help you but most of them have been damaged. I still can't believe she came with me dude I'm too old for this  A pic from the valley took from the cave entrance some more inside pics, from the way in. Kazinatorrr :LoL::LoL: (not my best shot ever). |

So there was a 2 mile mountain trail before you got to the cave, on which you packed 45lbs. followed by squirming your way into a wet hole in the ground pushing a good 30 lbs of stuff ahead of you (rig, radio, cameras, etc) then after you kill the batteries, you have to drag everything back out and down the mountain? there may be a reason your friends couldn't make it. or maybe I'm just not dedicated enough. Or more likely I'm too lazy. I think I see now why there is an interest in tow rigs though, put the weight on the trailer and drive it up to the cave. |

I've rock crawled at a system of caves in Iowa. Althrough they never did get that tight you did have to lean over at the entrance as it was maybe 5 tall. It makes for one of the coolest night run spots though. Turn the headlights on and follow the truck. Hard to get pictures in a dark black cave. Mwrca |

I'm curious about the radio reception, too. I doubt you'd get much interference from other sources.
