Im a noob , been around about a month , spent about 4 hrs or more a day here since , done hundreds os searches on diffrent topics But I cant for the love of god fiind out what size the hole, in the shackle end, of a leaf spring is. Some dimensions would be helpfull too .. length ( hi lift/ bruiser ) arch height , hole size. I plan on building some but I dont have one to compare to. Thanks in advance PS : dont flame me |

I have tons of spares. If you get me an adress I will drop one in the mail to you. Either that or I will drop a drill bit through the end of one and give you the bit size and then measure the springs as best I can. I can have the measurements tonight.

From what I can tell, the eyelet holes on both ends of the leaf spring are a 5/32 or about a #18 bit. From center of one eye to the other center (with no load) is about 4 1/4" long. The springs are 1/4" wide. Flipped upside down to measure the arch in the middle...it looks about 1 1/4". I hope this helps. I will look in again for other questions that I may be able to help with. |
