Default TLT axles with high lift springs question

Alright, I did do a search, and turned up empty. I am in the process of building my first leaf scaler. I am using TLT axles, and want to use High Lift springs. I am running the axles upside down so I can use the two holes that are in line on the diff case. Question is, can I mount the springs directly to the case, or do I need a mounting block. Also, will stock High Lift blocks work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No need to flip the axle, I just drilled mine right through. I also used a 1/4 in Lift block. link to my build> Scout scaler. yup another one.

Those are TLT's with High Lift style
"Diaz" leaf springs(2 hole).

Default Thanks

Thanks rock runt. That answered my question. I am running the axles upside down for a reason. I will explain later on. Thanks for the help. I am hoping to get by without spacers.

muddauber7, I purchased a prototype Xtrail chassis from The Crawler Store, and used it to pattern a pair of chassis rails. I have sent them out to get them powder coated. I will post some pics when the building begins. I am still waiting for parts, and rounding them up as well. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks for the help.

you can just screw them into the case, no need to use the little block.

Yeah, this is what I have come to learn. Now if the dang springs and mounts would just get here. I got my chassis back from powder coating today, looks awesome. Just playing the hurry up and wait game on parts.
