got one on the way. confirmed via HK postal its on its way as of the 31st.

Even it if dies out quick, i ll just get a new motor/GR unit with better power and install it. can get the new motor/gr for 20ish bux. so it ll still be cheap even if i do replace the motor/gr.

yes you get what you pay for. but this is a unit thats 3/4s the way to useable for under 30.00. you can even get a DECENT looking non working scale winch for under 30.00.

You can make a servo winch out of a 200oz servo @4.8 volts 12.5lbs stall @6 volts 14.3lbs stall. I saw the vid of that winch and was not impressed with the lag it had while pulling a car that weighed 2.1lbs up a couple of feet. I have 3 speeds in and out. The servo An MG 995 can be had for as little as $14 shipped. I have used this servo for months, with no issues.
This vid is all winch and a 9.2lb scale tube rig.

I used a bobon from a sewing machine. I'm looking for thinner line the line I'm using now is over kill it's 150 lb test out rigger line. My father who fishes regularly said I could use monofilement line 30lb test. He said it's a 1/4 of the diameter so I could put 2/3 more line on so like 9' instead of 35" so I'm ecited try the new line. I have to wait to get my chassis back from RC4WD. And I have a scale Warn winch body that I'm making to pass the line through.

ordered 2 just for the hell of it. I'm not really expecting much so the purchase is mainly for looks. When I have a nice rig worthy of a $200 winch I will buy it to support a fellow crawler and because it's made in America.

Neither of the 2 winches 3racing or stefans are made in america.
I would much rather support stefan just because of his hard work and dedication, But 200 bones is hard to swallow at the moment.

I wasn't aware of that.Well, like you said if the $ was there i'd rather spend it on Stephan's or on any of the other scale winches I've seen for sale here on RCC including MSD's.

i have to put this out there, if us insane people with 3 or 4 rigs wanna run scale winches i think the 3racing 1 is a way to do that without spending a years sallary to do so..
its just a more economical way to have a cool scale goody to pull ur ass out of a hole.. lolz
