| battery mounting option help
recently i decided to turn my ax10 rtc into my first attempt of a scaler then the xj body came out so now im really trying to piece this together! i bought a x trail some 90mm rc4wd dual coilovers and proceeded to mount what i have on the chassis i used the link plates to mount the reciever and esc i cant seem to mount hte battery where i want it! it needs to be up front over the shock mounts and the trans (front to back) im using a 7 cell battery currently but need to buy a new bat and charger so i'm open to using a different battery. thanks for any and all help! here's how it looks now but the battery's in the back and makes the truck do wheelies! |

Are you keeping the servo on the axle? If so I was able to use a stock axial battery tray like this on myold X-Trail. Although flipping the trans around would help clear other motors. There was barely enough room to clear a servo running 90mm SCX shocks as well. |
