| Tamiya Bruiser original or Updated
Hi, I just got myself a very nice tamiya bruiser (yes the old bruiser). I have to say that the truck is in superb condition, and I like it very much. Now I got a whole lot of upgraded parts for it in the deal (SS screws and bolts, RC4WD aluminum wheels, billet lower shock mounts, and more stuff). Now since the truck is not going to be used as a crawler for now, I was thinking if it was better to keep it 100% stock or just keep it with the upgraded parts. I am saying this from a collectors point of view, because I do know that the upgraded truck is better and nicer, but is it worth more or less? |

Honestly, the value of these trucks has come down significantly in the past year or 2. Its your truck so do with it what you want. If you are only looking to flip it for cash then leave it all original, or at least save the original parts. I had a very hard time getting rid of my all original mountaineer, and it was RTR. It had a few tasteful upgrades (dual original rear shocks, Boyer track bars, Imex G hawgs, aluminum lower shock mounts) and I couldnt even sell it for 550$ I ended up trading it for another Hilux flat bed crawler because I refuse to sell it for the 450-500$ shipped offers I was getting for it. BTW, I also had all the parts to put it back to a 100% stock too... |
