Default 1:2 gear reduction?

so i saw this and was wondering about it. so every revelotions of the mtor would be 2 on the output shaft right. so would a 27t with 20k rpm be more like a 10t with 40k?
or a 55t would be like maybe a 35t?

well it's not a reduction it's a speeder unit but yes you would have twice the rpms and half the torque
