Default Styrene builders of rcc!

So I've looked around but didn't see anything mentioned or showed but has anyone converted a 1:12 f350 to a 1:10? Been curious since my bday is coming up and I should get some cash, and wanted to know a ballpark figure as to how much that would cost. Hopefully pardonmynoob or someone can chime in. I know you can pretend its 1:10 or what not but I'm kinda picky like that lol

Holy shi* lol you can get that cheaper on rpp, I'm just trying to figure out how much it would cost to make one 1:10 scale

No you can't buy it cheaper at RPP. I've built one of those extended cab F350's and the complete body parts alone are $120 from RPP (including a second cab to make the extended cab). Then factor in the cost of the custom work to fabricate the extended cab since its not available in hardbody.

What 1:12 body are you starting from? Pics please.

If you are a stickler for scale (sounds like you might be) then modifying a 1:12 to make it 1:10 would not be enough. You'll either need a 1:10 body made from scratch or take the Tamiya F350 and modify it for the extended cab.

Your other option is to scale everything else to 1:12 (wheel size, etc).

[edit:
the old Tamiya F150 (Blackfoot) is 1:12 scale. This is what it looks like when the rest is scaled to the body:

Always wondered when I see these kind of posts, has anyone tried using a lexan body as a mold for a fiberglass body? SOme of the more intricate bodies it would be tough but the F350 is fairly simple body.

Oh crap didn't see it said ext, my bad. Ya im a stickler for scale lol I know I can scale everything down to 1:12 but I was hoping to use like 1.9 wheels because the closest you can get to TTC is 1.5 which I believe scale to 18" wheels? But I was hoping to see if the tamiya f350 body could be sized up to 1:10. By adding a extended cab that does just bump it up to 1:10 does it? I was thinking widening it and lengthening it and then work on the smaller details kinda thing.

Have you measured the tamiya f350 and compared it to full size rig? I think this is the first I've heard that body being 1:12 scale. I'd guess its closer to 10th.
You cant add length and change the scale. Scale is in every dimension. the base body, before extending, needs to be longer, wider, taller, etc...
